NEW MISCO TRAINING CENTRE IN GOZO     In view of this, MISCO has recently conducted a market research exercise involving a wide spectrum of businesses based in Gozo. This study aimed to gain insight into these businesses’ training needs as well as their particular requirements and preferences vis-à-vis training provision. The impetus for conducting this research stemmed from an awareness that enterprises in Gozo face particular challenges, partly due to their strategic location and relatively small market. Attracting and retaining market share requires that these businesses keep abreast with changes in market needs, and that knowledge and skills are updated continuously. Following in-depth, one-to-one interviews conducted with various owners-managers of Gozitan enterprises, a decision was made to open a MISCO Training Centre in Gozo, centrally located at 50, Dminka Street, Victoria. As from November 2007, any enterprise in Gozo can benefit from open and in-company training courses covering areas such as management, selling techniques, customer care and telephone handling, amongst others. Furthermore, Certificate in Management Programmes accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management, UK, have recently been added to MISCO’s portfolio of training programmes. Training programmes can be structured as short modules each of three hours’ duration. Training is delivered in a unique style which guarantees maximum impact through making the learning experience both memorable and enjoyable.   Go back to What's new
