On Friday 6 June, MISCO Directors Network is organising another networking event which features an interactive question and answer session with Chris Deering, Former CEO and President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The Q&A session will be led by Etienne Borg Cardona, Director of MISCO Directors Network, and the audience.
Chris Deering is best known for his leadership as CEO and President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe from inception in 1995 through 2005 where he helped engineer the sale of over 100 million PlayStation Consoles and over 750 million game discs. From 2006 to 2010 he was Chairman of Codemasters Games where he led their Formula 1 initiative.
An industry spokesperson for European games development and publishing, his international business career spans three decades with McKinsey, Gillette, Atari, and as COO of Columbia Pictures’ International Video business before heading PlayStation. In 2003, Chris was awarded a special BAFTA fellowship award for lifetime service to the games industry. He was Chairman of the Edinburgh Interactive Festival (2006-2010) and is currently active in pro bono work with startups in the UK and serves as Malta’s Special Envoy for games.
The event aims at providing insight on various topics related to technology and society, HR skills for today’s business world, the link between business and innovation in today’s world, internet and online privacy, social marketing trends as well as generating thoughts on where businesses are heading.
The event will also give you an opportunity to understand the latest trends in society and how these are being influenced by developments in technology. It will also be an opportunity to meet members of MISCO Directors Network and other delegates.
