Level 5 in Leadership and Management

The ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management develops a comprehensive range of middle management skills, assisting learners in gaining the knowledge required at this level.

There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will normally be practising middle managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.

Qualification is flexible to suit every candidate’s requirements and employers. It may be completed through a blended approach, that is a combination of tutor led sessions and distance learning or alternatively, candidates can opt for a full distance learning approach.

Participants are able to choose from a range of optional units to build their qualification. This high level of flexibility allows individuals or their employers to custom build a qualification that focuses on the key areas of management that are most relevant to the demands of a specific role, industry and organisation. We also offer the possibility of reviewing the draft assignment before the final assignment is submitted.

Participants will be given the opportunity to attend group tutorials on the mandatory and optional units assignment. Participants who attend the Diploma in Leadership and Management gain a free six months ILM with our Trial membership package. ILM membership brings access to a wide range of online resources, news and information that have been specially selected to support management learning and development. It is the ideal way to help learners get the most from their ILM programme and support their management career.

On successful completion participants are eligible for a minimum grade of Associate Membership (AMInstLM) of the Institute of Leadership & Management.

This qualification is recognised by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education.
